We have started brush and tree work along the right side of the 12th fairway. This will help golfers be able to find errant tee shots, speed play, increase playability, and provide more airflow to the fairway.

Some icy pockets have formed on some of the greens from the recent snow and rainfall. We will be monitoring these areas as the winter progresses. This is a common occurrence over the course of winter. While worth monitoring it is not an immediate concern. Creeping bentgrass can survive under continuous ice cover for 90 days or more. This is one of the many advantages to having greens predominately made up of creeping bentgrass.
Another area we have been focusing on is cleanup of our shop area. The shop is our home away from home. Spending 7 days a week there from April to December and 5 days a week during the winter. Cleaning the yard has been long overdue and something I have been not been able to focus on the past two winters.
Old Trucks: Two old and broken work trucks have recently been removed. These trucks have not run in years and have been taking up space in the maintenance yard.
Tire Recycling: Over time we have accumulated a large pile of discarded tires due to either damage or regular wear and tear. We recycled 73 tires that is the result of roughly five years of maintenance.
