The tee renovations have been completed to holes 9 and 16. As soon as the sod begins to root more work begins. The tees will need to be solid tined aerated with 1/4 inch tines as soon as it can be completed without the sod lifting up. This will help with rooting of the sod. As soon as the aeration is complete we will be wetting the sod and rolling to help smooth the surface. Topdressing will also take place to smooth the surface further. I have no timetable on when these tees will be open for play at this point. It all depends on how quickly the sod establishes. In the meantime, the white markers on 9 will fluctuate between the forward tee or the blue/gold tee. The forward markers on 16 will be placed on the approach until the tee is ready to play.
Country Golf who did the work was a little off on their sod measurements and we ran slightly short on rough sod for 16. We will be getting sod next week (most likely Thursday) to complete this area.
Below are some pictures from the construction project:
While we had an excavator on property the fairway bunker on 18 that was draining poorly was fixed. The exit of the drain was clogged with roots. This bunker should be able to handle any amount of rain now!
We finally received the wooden flagsticks we ordered for the course back in February. With the color code system of red, white, and blue that we use this is a far better look then our old flagsticks. We also have a set of wooden practice green markers that is still on backorder. As soon as those arrive we will be changing out the practice green as well.

We also completed some sod work to the 14th green surround this week in the area where we removed the cart path.
Lastly, but not least the annuals were planted around the clubhouse and the planted beds have been mulched. We will finish mulching the rest of the perennial beds shortly.
Some closing scenery shots from this week:
