Cloudy Morning on 4

The week started with the entire agronomy team installing approximately 13,000 sq. ft. of sod. This took the agronomy team over 10 hours to do. This area will be ground under repair for the time being. There are two drop circles in which you can play from if you happen to hit into the new sod.

Below our some pictures of the work:

We are also in peak agronomy time as far as crucial applications go. Much of this week was consumed with applications. The team also has a lot of applications planned for next week as well.

Applications Made:

Fairways sprayed for annual bluegrass weevil

Fertility sprayed to fairways

Fungicide sprayed to fairways

Fertility and Pre emergent to fairways

On the project front, the next two projects we will be working on are the 12th green surround cart parking area and the turnaround/cart parking are by the blue tee on 10. Work will be done to these areas as agronomy practices allow. As always agronomy must come before any project work.

The greens have been slow to heal from aeration. This is mostly weather based and hopefully next week's warmer weather will be what they need. Greens healing is a little inconsistent as well. The greens in warmer, better growing environments are definitely further along then the greens in shadier or less desirable growing environments. We are also still picking up a lot of the topdressing sand. The sand is very abrasive and quickly dulls the cutting units. This also effects quality of cut and consistency.
