As I write the course opening post this morning, the agronomy team is slowed by a morning frost. If we need to delay it will only be by 30 minutes.
All play areas are in good shape and 100 percent ready to handle play. The agronomy team meticulously puts the course to bed going into winter to maximize the chances of an early opening and good playing conditions to start the season. When things align and the turf is ready we should take advantage of that as a club. With that being said we are in great condition for the end of March. If you choose to fill out a survey, please remember it is late March and not mid June and rate the golf course on conditions for this time of year.
We have been working non stop to clean the golf course. There will still be piles of debris throughout the golf course in the rough as well as the stump grinding shavings. The team will be working on all the debris piles once the final opening prep is done to play areas. The debris pile cleanup should go quick especially as we begin to add staff in April. Once the debris piles are complete we will start working on the stump shavings as well as various projects. Stump shavings in higher traffic areas will be prioritized first.
Our divot policy will remain the same in 2025. Always replace divot whenever possible. Sand/seed that is provided should only be used if divot can not be replaced. Provided divot mix should never be used in the rough. The sand bottles on the carts can also be used on tees as well.
Range will open from mats only. We will be utilizing the old mats to start the season. I will have an update on the new mat installation in the coming weeks.
Cart policy will be updated daily based on conditions. On days carts can scatter please be aware of our enter and exit stakes. Carts may enter the fairway anywhere AFTER the enter stakes. Once your cart is on the fairway , please keep it in the fairway. When exiting the fairway back to the cart path, carts will exit BEFORE the exit stakes. This practice goes a long way in preventing wear and helping the agronomy team improve rough conditions through out the golf course. Please also remember when we are scatter holes 2 and 3 as well as all par 3's remain cart path only.
On behalf of the entire agronomy team, we are looking forward to seeing you back on the course.
