The course received more snow and the wind did more damage than expected. Due to the inclement weather we will not be opening the golf course tomorrow Friday, April 5th. I will be making a decision tomorrow afternoon on the possibility of opening on Saturday. We will open the course as soon as we can make conditions playable and not jeopardize turf.
We lost a number of substantial trees today and have debris strewn all over the course. Agronomy practices will also need to ramp up significantly next week. With the extra demands of agronomy, the team is looking at 10 to 14 days of work to get the course back into the condition it was pre storm. With the wet conditions the team will also face machinery restrictions and a lot of hand work will be needed. Please keep this in mind as you play your first rounds on the golf course this season. My intention is to have the membership out playing as soon as possible.
Respectfully,
Matt Behl
